On January 20th 2021, TaiDoc Technology Corp. (TaiDoc) and Ambassador Andrea Bowman of the Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Republic of China/Taiwan, reached an agreement on the purchasing of 10,000 antigen rapid tests manufactured by TaiDoc.
By donating forehead thermometers and antigen rapid tests, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Republic of China, TaiDoc hopes to contribute to epidemic mitigation by international cooperation. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is pleased with the performance of TaiDoc’s antigen rapid tests for COVID-19 screening and diagnostic actions. Therefore, both Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and TaiDoc hope to deepen the long-term cooperation between the two parties on COVID-19 “epidemic prevention and other medical projects in the future”.
The Ambassador of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Andrea Clare Bowman, said that Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has to date conducted 26,675 tests, and has successfully screened and detected 738 COVID-19 positive patients since March, 2020. After cross-comparison with RT-PCR and other antigen rapid tests, TaiDoc antigen rapid tests are significantly faster and more accurate than other similar antigen rapid tests. COVID-19 antigen rapid tests can greatly increase the capability of COVID-19 infection detection in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and reduce the huge pressure and impact that the country’s government and medical system have faced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Following negotiations with Ambassador Bowman, TaiDoc Technology decided to donate an additional 10,000 doses of antigen rapid tests to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and the company hopes to offer more help.
TaiDoc’s antigen rapid tests have the advantage of high accuracy, simple use and delivery of test results within 15 minutes. Combined with RT-PCR detection, it can meet the huge demand of accurate detection against COVID-19, and greatly reduce the critical requirements of laboratory equipment, personnel training and hardware conditions required for RT-PCR detection.
Countries around the world, including India, France, the United Kingdom, the United States and other countries, are facing severe epidemics. Using a large number of antigen rapid tests and RT-PCR for COVID-19 testing to increase the capability of COVID-19 testing and to reduce the risks and pressure on frontline medical workers, at the same time achieves the purpose of preventing the spread of the SARS-CoV-2. TaiDoc hopes to achieve great success against the COVID-19 epidemic through international cooperation and mutual assistance.
